Myanmar is constructing bridges in the canal with zero-point border at Tambur border of Naikhongchanchi upazila. According to local residents, Rohingya settlers living in the zero-star zone and agricultural land will be submerged in Bangladesh during the monsoon season. Myanmar has started construction of a bridge in the canal with a barbed wire inside Myanmar. If the bridge is built, then in the monsoon season, the coastal areas of Kanrapar border inside Bangladesh will be submerged in agricultural land. As a result, four thousand Rohingya people who have taken shelter here will be forced to flee to Bangladesh. Representatives of Ghumdhum Union Rafiq Ahmed said the bridge was being built in public for two days. The locals will be severely damaged if the bridge over the canal. In the rainy season, if the canal water is obstructed, then the farmland and the entire area will be submerged in the hills. Locals have been scared about this. BGB-34 Battalion commander Lt. Col. Colonel Manjurul Hasan Khan said, “Myanmar authorities are constructing a bridge in Tamo canal inside their border. Why is this bridge being constructed, I do not know. We are monitoring the situation. If Bangladesh is affected due to the construction of the bridge, it will be protested. “They said that Myanmar could construct any structure within a distance of 50 yards from the zero-border border. There are contracts in this regard between the two countries.
